Leopard Print

These are balls of chicken wire from Geri Binks’ art installation at Purdy’s Landing, where I host my photography classes. The balls will only be there until tomorrow, for the Grand Bend Horticultural Society’s Festival of Homes, Gardens and Arts. Be there!

    Impressive shot! Is this a brand new 100mm lens or could you get your old one repaired?

    Thanks for the comments… I like the photo, too…

    Whenever the lens gets wet, it seems, it shuts down and can’t autofocus. But both times I’ve been able to dry it out by putting it in front of my very hot Cameron hotlights. It takes another day, but it seems to work fine again. I’ve had two run-ins with heavy rain this month, and both times the lens crapped out. The last time, the camera did, too, but it seems okay now. I keep crossing my fingers, but there are no guarantees with equipment. You just have to keep it dry if you want it to keep working, and I’m not able to do that with my work.
